Afghanistan yesterday trashed the Pakistani team in a friendly limited overs cricket match, which was also witnessed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and visiting Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
The match played at here Shalimar Cricket Ground was won by Afghanistan-A by 54 runs as Pakistan-A could only manage to score 100 runs against target of 154 in 15 overs.
After winning the toss, Afghanistan-A selected to bat first. Najibullah Zardan with a gusty inning of 60 dotted with four sixes
and as many fours, amused the spectators and the visiting dignitary.
For Pakistan, bowlers Muhammad Irfan, Raza Hassan and Anwar Ali shared one scalp each.
In reply to run rate of 10.27 per over, the Pakistan-A accumulated 100 runs with 6.67 per over at the loss of nine
