Virat Kohli’s superb performance helped India to beat Pakistan yet again. This time by an impressive 6 wickets in the ICC World Twenty20 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
After a delayed start due to rain, Pakistan were sent in to bat first by India in an 18-over encounter at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata earlier today and scored 118-5 in their allotted quota of overs.
Kohli struck 37-ball 54 with the help of seven 4s and one 6 to steer India to victory with 13 balls to spare. He was supported by Yuvraj Singh, who chipped in with 24 runs.
The Kolhi-Yuvraj duo, who had scripted the Indian win in Asia Cup last month, came together again to hand Pakistan their fifth straight T20 defeat.
Overall, it was Pakistan’s 11th defeat against India in world cup matches.
Mohammad Sami bagged two wickets while Mohammad Amir got one early in the inning to put some pressure on India, but that proved insufficient in the end.
