Kohli brought up the milestone with a fluent century. He crossed the 16,000-run mark in his 330th List A innings. The achievement pushed him ahead of Sachin Tendulkar, who reached the same tally in 391 innings.

Earlier in the day, another former India captain delivered a memorable performance. Rohit Sharma smashed a brilliant 155 for Mumbai against Sikkim in Group D action of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Rohit dominated the bowling from the outset. He struck 18 fours and nine sixes in a 94-ball knock. His innings helped Mumbai chase down a target of 237 with ease, sealing victory with eight wickets down and plenty of deliveries remaining.

The knock also placed Rohit alongside David Warner at the top of the list for most 150-plus scores in List A cricket. Both batters now have nine such innings.

With Kohli breaking long-standing records and Rohit delivering match-winning brilliance, the Vijay Hazare Trophy continues to showcase India’s batting depth and elite experience.
