On Wednesday, a new video surfaced on social media showing two women in a confrontation with Motorway Police personnel. The footage reveals the women filming the officers, issuing threats, and using abusive language. They accused the officers of injuring one of them in an attempt to seize her mobile phone during the recording.
Additionally, one woman claimed a Motorway officer had solicited a bribe, while the officer countered that the women were filming and blocking traffic.
The Motorway Police (North Zone) later released a statement explaining that the officers had stopped the women for speeding and reckless driving near Kallar Kahar. The statement described the women as careless drivers who misbehaved with the police, threatened to block the motorway, and ultimately left the scene without settling the fine.
The Motorway Police confirmed they are pursuing legal measures against these individuals.
This incident follows a similar episode on April 24, where a woman, after being stopped for speeding, hit a Motorway Police officer with her car and verbally attacked traffic wardens. That altercation was also captured on video and shared widely, highlighting her aggressive behaviour towards the officer.
