Venezuelan model and journalist Wilevis Brito, aged 24, passed away following complications from maxillofacial surgery.
The incident occurred in Caracas shortly after her return from Argentina. Details surrounding the events leading to her death remain undisclosed.
Brito was renowned for her involvement in beauty pageants like Miss Venezuela. She had a significant presence in media, contributing to television shows and news outlets such as America Tucuman and A24. Her career in modelling began at the tender age of eight at Cerynel Fashion Academy in Cerbonia de Marin.
Over the years, she became international fame, representing Venezuela at the Miss World contest in Buenos Aires. She had previously gained media attention for speaking out against the gender violence she experienced.
Brito maintained a vibrant social media presence, with 12,800 Instagram followers. She frequently showcased product promotions, brand collaborations, and snapshots from participating in the Miss World contest.
One of her final posts celebrated her experience at a Karol G concert, describing it as one of the best nights of her life. Tragically, she died just two weeks after this post due to surgical complications.
