The United States has appreciated the statement of  Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif’s statement that it will not allow its soil to be used against Afghanistan.

According to a White House spokesman, the remarks by the Army Chief are of critical importance and are seen with much appreciation. He said that the United States welcomes the efforts and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terrorism and the ongoing operation.

He said that there had been a tremendous loss of lives in this war against extremism and terrorism. However, he said that Pakistan should continue its grip on terrorists outfits within the country.
