US pastors say officials privately warned them to prepare congregations for UFO disclosure briefings that could challenge Christian beliefs, according to claims reported in US and British media.
The claims surfaced as President Donald Trump’s administration in Washington, United States, moved to identify and release federal records on UFOs, unidentified anomalous phenomena and alien life forms.
Tennessee evangelist Perry Stone said in an April video that officials told pastors forthcoming material could include reports, videos, and claims about non-human craft, unusual materials, and “reptilian-looking” beings.
Stone warned that some Christians could question the Bible’s creation account if government files suggest other intelligent life exists beyond Earth. He said others outside the church could seek religious answers after any release.
Bishop Alan DiDio of Revival Nation Church and evangelist Tony Merkel are figures who discussed or corroborated parts of the alleged meeting.
The Associated Press reported that Trump recently teased the release of previously classified UFO files and said the material would be “very interesting,” while former Pentagon UAP official Sean Kirkpatrick cautioned against expectations of sensational findings.

Al Jazeera reported that Trump said in February he had directed federal agencies, including the Defence Department, to begin identifying and releasing records linked to UFOs and alien life forms.
No official US government statement confirmed that intelligence officials held the alleged pastor briefings.
