Five people were injured in Liaquatabad B-Area , Karachi on Wednesday night when three assailants opened indiscriminate fire on two shops. Two of the injured later expired while being treated at the hospital.
According to SHO Liaquatabad, Sajjad, three men attempted a robbery at a milk-shop in the B-Area market but due to visible resistance withdrew and escaped.
However he added, the three men later returned intoxicated and opened fire on two shops, injuring five people.
The injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where two identified as Khurram and Saleem expired under treatment.
The police apprehended the three men involved in the shooting – identified as Zeeshan, Noman and Iqbal – and recovered a motorcycle and two pistols from them. According to the SHO Liaquatabad, the three men are dacoits.
