Quetta: Execution of two brothers, Ali Gul and Mir Gul alias Meero, who were scheduled to be executed early on Thursday in Central Jail Machh in Bolan, has been stayed after pardoned by family.
The convicts Ali Gul and Mir Gul alias Meero murdered Imtiaz and Ghulam Hussain over old enmity after getting them down from a bus in August 10, 2001 in Bakhtiarabad.
Sessions court Sibbi sentenced duo brothers were awarded death sentence under clauses of murder, attempted to murder and anti-terrorism.
The two sides reached a compromise which was accepted by the jail authorities, resulting in the stay of their death penalty.
