ISLAMABAD: Tehreek Tahaffuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) has constituted a six-member TTAP APC committee to contact political parties and prepare consultations for a proposed All-Parties Conference.
The panel comprises Senate Opposition Leader Raja Nasir Abbas, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry.
According to the alliance’s plan, the committee will approach political parties to discuss convening the conference, seek views on its agenda and recommend organisational measures based on those consultations. It will carry out the outreach under TTAP leadership.
The move follows a TTAP meeting chaired by National Assembly Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, where the alliance agreed to accelerate contacts with political parties and convene a multi-party conference on national issues.

Opposition parties have recently identified issues including inflation, unemployment, petrol prices, law and order, constitutional matters and proposals for new provinces as subjects for broader political consultation.
The opposition had also discussed an APC during a September 11 meeting held in the chamber of Raja Nasir Abbas, alongside consultations over a meeting between Achakzai and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif concerning appointments to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
