ANKARA, Turkey: In the capital, a Trump plane switch moved President Donald Trump of the United States onto a military jet on July 8 after intelligence warned of an Iranian missile plot.
CBS said Trump publicly boarded an older Air Force One after the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) summit in Ankara. An airport catering truck then carried him to an Air Force C-32A, according to the report.
The outlet cited a U.S. official who said intelligence detected a credible plot to fire a missile at Trump’s aircraft. Iran and allied groups presented the threat, the official said.

CBS said the smaller jet carried Trump to a refuelling stop in the United Kingdom. Journalists and some White House staff travelled the same route aboard the decoy Air Force One.
Those passengers believed Trump remained on their aircraft, CBS reported. The president switched to a newer Qatar-donated presidential jet in Britain before continuing to Washington.

White House communications director Steven Cheung did not confirm the operation’s details. He said officials use every available tool to address threats against the president.
