Beijing, China: President Donald Trump of the United States said his patience with Iran was running out after talks with President Xi Jinping of China on Thursday.
Trump told Fox News’ “Hannity” that Iran “should make a deal.” The White House said Trump and Xi agreed to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
Iran had effectively shut the waterway after US-Israeli attacks began on February 28, disrupting global energy supplies, according to Reuters-based source material.
The source said Xi promised not to send military equipment to Iran. The White House also said both leaders agreed Iran should never obtain nuclear weapons.
