Trishan Patel, a British football coach with Indian heritage, has officially been appointed Assistant Coach and Performance Analyst for the Pakistan football team.
Trishan Patel joined the team’s training camp in Islamabad, where the squad is intensively preparing for their upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifier matches against Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
Having previously collaborated with the team remotely, Patel now brings his extensive experience to the field. His coaching career includes roles with prestigious English clubs such as Luton Town and Liverpool.
The Pakistan Football Federation publicized Patel’s joining via social media platforms, showcasing him in the national team’s attire.
Patel embarked on his coaching journey in 2006 as a scouting coach. In 2009, he served as a Community Coach at Premier League club Luton Town, a position he held until 2015. Patel holds a UEFA A license and was appointed assistant manager at Biggleswade United in 2019.
Trishan Patel has gained international experience as an academy coach with Liverpool and has also held a position at Berkhamsted.
Pakistan is scheduled to play a critical FIFA World Cup qualifier against Saudi Arabia in Islamabad on June 6. The team will proceed to Tajikistan for its final qualifier after the match.
