In Islamabad, the search for a missing 15-year-old student named Taha came to a tragic end as the body was discovered in a deep ravine along Trail 5 in the Margalla Hills a day after he was reported missing.
The Islamabad police reported Taha had embarked on a hiking trip with friends on Saturday morning and failed to return. Taha’s body was found between Pir Sohawa and Bari Imam, an area within the vicinity of the Margalla Hills. The body was located in a challenging terrain in the ravine, complicating the recovery efforts.
Taha’s mother initially reported the disappearance at the Secretariat Police Station. Following the discovery, Taha’s uncle confirmed his identity at the scene. Senior police officials were at the location, including the SP City and the ASP Secretariat.
Items belonging to Taha, including his water bottle, mobile phone, and backpack, were found near the body. His mobile phone was turned off, which hindered attempts to contact him after he went missing.
Multiple agencies, including Rescue 1122, the Municipal Corporation Islamabad, the Wildlife Department, and the Forestry Department, are involved in the recovery of Taha’s body from a ravine. The cause of Taha’s death remains undetermined, with investigations ongoing to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
