A 15-year-old boy died following a botched gallbladder surgery performed by a fake doctor by watching YouTube videos. The teenager, Krishna Kumar, was admitted to a hospital in Patna, suffering from severe vomiting in Bihar, India.
After being diagnosed with gallstones, doctors recommended surgery. The family initially declined, believing Krishna had recovered following treatment with a drip. However, Ajit Kumar, who posed as a doctor, later convinced them of the necessity of the surgery.
During the procedure, Krishna’s condition worsened, leading Ajit Kumar and his staff to abandon him at the entrance of a larger hospital, where he was soon declared dead.
The family has filed a complaint against Ajit Kumar for negligence and malpractice, citing his lack of qualifications and experience as contributing to the teen’s death. Police have launched a manhunt for Ajit Kumar and his associates, filing charges against them and the clinic staff.
Krishna’s body has been sent for an autopsy, and the clinic where the surgery took place has been sealed pending further investigation.
