The government has appointed Tariq Mahmood Pasha as the new chairman of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
According to the notification issued by the Establishment Division on Monday stating that “Mr Tariq Mahmood Pasha, a BS-22 officer of IRS, presently working as Economic Affairs Division secretary, posted as FBR chairman / Revenue Division secretary with immediate effect and until further orders.”
Mr Pasha had done LLB from the University of Peshawar and then passed CSS exams and joined government service as Income Tax officer. He had served on different key positions during his carrier.
Pasha was previously posted as the secretary of the Economic Affairs Division.
The notification in this regard was issued by the Establishment Division.
