Sydney Sweeney’s “Euphoria” Season 3 wedding scene drew attention after the costume team turned a wardrobe issue into part of Cassie’s character styling.
The episode aired last Sunday and showed Sweeney’s character, Cassie, walking down the aisle to marry Nate, played by Jacob Elordi.
Cassie wore a custom Jackson Wiederhoeft gown with a thigh-high slit, plunging neckline, 15-foot train, and cathedral veil.
The scene also featured Cassie walking with her on-screen mother, played by Alanna Ubach, while carrying peach and pink peonies.
Costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas said the gown’s low-cut bodice caused repeated wardrobe slips during rehearsals, especially during Cassie’s first dance scene.
The creative team chose not to tape the dress in place and instead designed custom pasties made from the same hand-beaded fabric as the gown.
Newman-Thomas said the choice suited Cassie’s personality and turned a filming problem into an intentional character detail.
