SWAT, Pakistan: A Falak Sar climber entered its search phase on Saturday after an accident injured three mountaineers and left their local guide missing.
Rescue 1122 identified the missing guide as Syed Ali Shah of Khwazakhela. He disappeared in rugged terrain on the route to Falak Sar’s base camp.
The three injured climbers came from Rawalpindi, rescue officials said. A medical team treated them at the scene before evacuating them.
Rescuers later shifted the mountaineers to Saidu Sharif Central Hospital. Officials did not release details about the severity of their injuries.
District Emergency Officer Syed Shoaib Mansoor directed the initial medical and evacuation response. Search teams continued efforts to locate Shah, but steep slopes and the remote location slowed operations.
