A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Mexico Thursday, causing buildings to sway in Mexico City. People fled to the streets in panic.
The US Geological Survey said on its website the quake occurred 13 kilometers west-southwest of Tecpan de Galeana, south of Mexico City.
