Canadian actor Stewart McLean was found dead in Lions Bay, British Columbia, after going missing earlier this month, with police treating the case as a suspected homicide.
McLean, 45, was last seen at his Lions Bay residence on May 15, according to the Squamish Royal Canadian Mounted Police. His family reported him missing on May 18 after they were unable to contact him.
Canada’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said McLean’s remains were found in the Lions Bay area on May 22. Investigators said evidence led them to believe he may have been the victim of homicide.
IHIT Corporal Esther Tupper said investigators were reviewing security footage, interviewing witnesses and building a timeline of McLean’s movements before May 15. Police have not released a cause of death or named any suspects.
