The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Pakistan’s official moon sighting authority, announced that the moon for Zilqad 1445 AH was not observed. Consequently, the month of Shawwal will conclude on Thursday, May 9.
Friday, May 10, will mark the beginning of Zilqad throughout the country.
This decision followed a meeting chaired by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, at which reports from various regions confirmed that the moon was not visible.
