An employee of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) was killed in a gas pipeline explosion at Shahdadpur-Hala Road on Sunday morning.
According to details, the explosion took place due to which SSGC man identified as Zahid Khaskheli was killed and two other workers were wounded in the incident.
The blast occurred when maintenance work was taking place on the pipeline located at Shahdadpur-Hala Road. The gas supply to many areas including Tando Adam Khan, Sanghar and Jhol was disrupted following the explosion.
SSGC has stated that maintenance teams are working to restore the gas supplies to the affected areas. However, the repair work may take upto several hours.
The wounded persons were rushed to a medical facility located at Tando Adam Khan for treatment of their injuries.
