Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, directs the release of detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members on the national assembly.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the National Assembly, has issued a directive to release all detained assembly members immediately, including the issuance of production orders for the arrested members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The Speaker has mandated that the detained Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) be promptly brought to Parliament House. In a decisive move, Ayaz Sadiq has reprimanded the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad for the detentions.
Confirming the Speaker’s directive, a spokesperson for the National Assembly relayed the instructions to the IG Islamabad, stating, “Yes sir, I will look into this matter and report to you.” The order marks a significant intervention by the Speaker to uphold the members’ parliamentary privileges.
