Spain’s World Cup final preparations faced a fitness concern as Lamine Yamal and Pedro Porro trained separately before Sunday’s match against Argentina at MetLife Stadium.
Yamal followed a reduced-intensity recovery programme after experiencing muscle overload and fatigue, according to the source report. Spain’s medical staff did not identify a structural injury.
The 19-year-old Barcelona winger is expected to recover in time, but Spain has not confirmed his starting availability.
Pedro Porro also missed the main tactical session. The Tottenham Hotspur right-back completed individual recovery work in the gym while staff monitored his discomfort.
Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente must assess both players before selecting his starting lineup for the July 19 final in New Jersey.
Yamal has carried a major creative role during Spain’s tournament campaign. Porro has provided width and defensive coverage from right-back.
Spain reached the final after beating France 2-0 in the semifinal. Argentina advanced with a 2-1 comeback victory over England.

The match will bring together the reigning European champions and defending World Cup winners. No official medical bulletin had ruled either Spanish player out of the final.
