Elon Musk announced a SpaceXAI hiring drive for engineers and physicists, saying applicants do not need prior experience in artificial intelligence if they demonstrate exceptional technical ability.
Musk wrote on X that SpaceX was “actively hiring world-class engineers/physicists for SpaceXAI” and said he would personally review applications, according to the Times of India.
Candidates were asked to email SpaceX with three bullet points covering the complex problems they have solved, the technical projects they have built, and measurable results demonstrating exceptional ability.
The hiring push comes as SpaceX prepares for a public listing. TechCrunch reported in April that SpaceX had confidentially filed disclosures with the US Securities and Exchange Commission ahead of a potential initial public offering.

The company filed S-1 paperwork on Wednesday, May 20, with an official IPO planned for June. It also said Musk has combined his rocket business with xAI under the SpaceXAI name.
Musk used a similar recruitment format in January for Tesla’s AI chip team, asking applicants to send three bullet points about the hardest technical problems they had solved.
