PANGLAO, Philippines: The South Palms anniversary celebration marked the resort’s first year on August 8. It featured Boholano storytelling and a Filipino menu beside the beach.
South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao – MGallery Collection named the event “ORIGINS: One year in and her story continues.” The resort opened in Bohol, Central Visayas, on August 8, 2025.
Guests watched “Sirenna,” a sunset performance about a guardian of the sea. Chef Bettina Arguelles and the resort’s culinary team then served an anniversary dinner.
The menu included duck pancit canton, scallop silog and beach-roasted lechon baka. Desserts featured banana tablea turon, marang cheesecake and ube kinampay ice cream.

The resort said the AHEAD Awards 2026 shortlisted it in four categories. The awards website confirms its Spa and Wellness nomination.
South Palms plans to refresh the menus at UMA, MANJA and Sirenna during its second year.
