A spokesperson for the Sargodha division commissioner said earlier yesterday that the government would spend an estimated Rs200 million on a project to beautify Soon Valley in Kushab district.
He said they wanted to make Soon Valley an international tourist destination. “Several recreational facilities will be added.” Work on the Kanthi Garden and Khabeli Lake will be completed by June, he said. “This will be the first phase of the project.”
The second phase of the project will be completed by June, next year. “We are trying to develop the infrastructure of Soon Valley.” He said Khabeli Lake was an ideal location for boating. He said thousands of migratory birds visited Uchali, in Khushab district, each year. “It is an ideal place for bird watchers.”
