On August 10, 2025, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) launched a simplified process for obtaining the Smart Pakistan Origin Card (POC).
NADRA POC card is intended for foreign nationals of Pakistani descent, specifically targeting individuals who have acquired foreign citizenship but have Pakistani origins, those with Pakistani parents or grandparents, as well as foreign spouses of Pakistani nationals. The POC serves as an important connection to Pakistan for these individuals.
To apply for the Smart POC, applicants must use a family member’s Pak ID account (parent, sibling, or child). The steps include:
- Log in to the Pak ID platform.
- Select “Apply for ID Card,” then “My blood relative.”
- Choose “No” and select “New POC.”
- Submit personal details, biometric data, a photograph, and supporting documents.

Once approved, the card is delivered to the applicant’s address, ensuring convenience.
