Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ali Nawaz Shah was among three people sent to prison by an accountability court in Karachi earlier today.
The three accused were sentenced for causing losses to the national exchequer buy selling land at inflated prices to the government.
The former provincial minister Ali Nawaz Shah was sentenced to five years in prison.
Others sentenced by the court include PPP leaders Khadim Ali Shah who has been imprisoned for four years and Imtiaz Ali Shah imprisoned for three years.
A spokesman for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said the three accused who were out on bail have been arrested.
