On behalf of the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Shamim Mumtaz presented a cheque of Rs 10 million to the family of Shaheed Amjad Sabri, at his residence here on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Amjad Sabri’s mother, children and younger brother were also present, said a statement.
Talking to media persons alongwith brother of Shaheed Amjad Sabri, Shamim Mumtaz said that Amjad Sabri was world renewed Qawal and his voice was matchless.
She said that there is no substitute for human life.
She said that on the directives of PPP Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chariman Asif Ali Zardari, the process of establishing an institute in the name of Shaheed Amjad Sabri was also in progress.
She further said that the government will also provide a job to the wife of Shaheed Amjad Sabri, if she is qualified, otherwise Amjad Sabri’s brother will be provided a job as Sabri’s children are underage.
Ms Mumtaz said that investigation into the killing of Amjad Sabri was in progress and some of the culprits have been arrested. (APP)
