Sindh government banned pillion riding in Karachi from today till 13th of this month.
In a notification issued by Sindh’s Home Department on Saturday stated that the ban has been imposed keeping in view the law and order situation during Muharram-ul-Harram.
Meanwhile, Additional Inspector General Karachi Mushtaq Mahar directed police to ensure foolproof security of Mosques and Imambarghas in the mega-city.
Meantime, the Rangers issued alert for the security during Muharram-ul-Haram and motorcyclists and drivers of vehicles have been advised to carry travel documents as they come out on roads.
