Sindh govt announces public holiday on Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai

The Sindh government has announced public holiday on November 15, on account of annual Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.

According to a notification, the 14th Safar (1438 A.H), November 15, 2016 will be a public holiday throughout the province.

All educational institutions, provincial offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the government of Sindh across the province will remain close.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Justice (retd) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui are likely to attend Urs of the Sufi saint in Bhitt Shah town of Hala.
