The Sindh Education Department has released revised school timings during the holy month of Ramadan.
Schools in the Sindh province will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for the morning shift and 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for the afternoon shift. On Fridays, hours adjust to 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Additionally, Sindh colleges will adopt new hours: morning classes from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and evening classes from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pakistan will begin Ramadan fasting tomorrow (Tuesday), as announced by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, after a meeting in Peshawar. Clerics from various sects confirmed the start of Islam’s ninth month.
This sacred month prompts millions in Pakistan to fast from dawn to sunset, ranging from 12 to 17 hours globally. Over a billion Muslims worldwide observe Ramadan, emphasizing patience, self-discipline, charity, and community welfare.
