Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif picked Iqbal Mehmood as the new Inspector General of Sindh Police according to media reports.
The top provincial police slot had been lying vacant for the past few months.
The official notification of Mehmood’s appointment was also issued yesterday. Mehmood was previously appointed as acting Sindh police chief after the retirement of Shahid Nadeem Baloch.
