The Peshawar Zalmi allrounder, Shahid Afridi, who suffered a hand injury during the play-off on Friday (March 3) will not play the final of the Pakistan Super League in Lahore on Sunday.
Afridi suffered a hand injury while taking a catch on a stinging drive off Karachi Kings’ Kieron Pollard in Dubai.
According to initially information he had to receive 12 stitches on his right hand.
In a video message Afridi said “Doctor has advised me ten days rest and I am very disappointed that I will not be part of the final in Lahore on Sunday.”
“it was my desire to play PSL final in Lahore. But sorry, i can’t. I won’t be able to play because doctors have advised 10-day rest”. It was my strong desire to play in my homeland, among my own people, but sometimes things are not in your control”. he further added
Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will clash in the final of the PSL in Lahore’s Qaddhafi Stadium on Sunday.
