Sha’Carri Richardson’s off-track issues have not slowed down her marketability. The Team USA sprint star is one of the faces of Kim Kardashian’s new Skims campaign with Nike. The campaign was unveiled Monday, just months after her arrest in a domestic violence case.
The latest Skims performance wear collection features a star-studded lineup of athletes. Alongside Richardson, icons such as Serena Williams, Chloe Kim, Nelly Korda, and Jordan Chiles are modeling the new range of fitness wear.
Kim Kardashian explained why the partnership with Nike was a natural fit when it was announced in February. “Our mission is simple: to redefine the rules of women’s activewear. No more compromises. We’re combining high-performance innovation with stylish designs for all women who want both.”

While high-profile athletes have often modeled for Skims, Richardson’s role in the campaign stands out. In July, she was arrested at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport following an altercation with fellow sprinter Christian Coleman.
Richardson later issued a public apology for her behavior. Despite the incident, Nike continued to feature her imagery on its website in the weeks that followed.

It remains unclear whether Richardson’s involvement in the campaign was finalized before the arrest. However, her inclusion underscores her continued influence and appeal in the world of sports fashion. Both Nike and Skims decided to proceed with her participation afterward.
