CID and CIA launched a joint operation in Sodhran (Islamabad) and arrested seven extremists after a heavy exchange of gunfire. SSP Islamabad Dr. Rizwan briefed the media and stated that the security agencies undertook the operation on a tip-off regarding the presence of criminals in the area.
Police reports say that the criminals were plotting treasonous activity in Islamabad and they were involved in two targeted killings in Rawalpindi as well as extortion activities.
