The Supreme Court in Islamabad has ordered the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to verify votes in the National Assembly’s NA-110 (Sialkot) constituency.
The court directed NADRA to verify counterfoils and thumb impressions on the votes in the Sialkot constituency, from where Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had was elected as MNA in the 2013 general elections.
The apex court directed the NADRA to submit its report to within three months.
PTI’s Usman Dar had challenged Asif’s victory in the election. An election tribunal had earlier dismissed Dar’s petition, but Dar later moved the petition in the apex court.
