SAHIWAL, Punjab: Police registered a Sahiwal student suicide case against a woman’s husband after an MS Psychology student died amid allegations of prolonged mental torture by her in-laws.
According to the First Information Report, Aiman, a University of Sahiwal student, had contracted Nikah with Mohsin Shahzad three years ago. She had not yet moved to her husband’s home.
The FIR alleged that Mohsin Shahzad and two sisters-in-law subjected Aiman to continuous mental abuse. It also accused the sisters-in-law of stealing jewellery from her family’s house.
Police said Aiman sent a WhatsApp note to her sister before her death, explaining the reasons behind her decision.
City Police Station Sahiwal registered the case against Mohsin Shahzad on the complaint of Aiman’s father. Police said further investigation was underway.
In a separate incident, police reported two suspected suicide cases in Pindigheb, Attock district. Officials said 29-year-old Sardar Zeeshan died after being taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in critical condition.

Police said 16-year-old Iqra Waseem was found dead at her residence. Investigators recovered a weapon from the scene and launched inquiries into both Pindigheb cases from multiple angles.
