The Russian government has officially launched its scholarship program for Pakistani students for the 2026-27 academic year. The initiative enables students to pursue fully-funded Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at leading Russian universities.

A spokesperson for the Russian Embassy in Islamabad confirmed that the Russian House (Russian Centre for Science and Culture) is the sole authorised institution in Pakistan to nominate candidates for this scheme. The application deadline is January 15, 2026.

The scholarship covers the full duration of the chosen degree program and includes a monthly stipend for the student. Recipients are also exempt from all admission and tuition fees. However, students are responsible for their own travel costs and daily living expenses.

Prospective applicants must submit their applications online through the official education portal of the Russian Federation. The process requires students to select their preferred field of study and level, and then upload all relevant academic documents.

The selection of candidates will be based strictly on academic merit, with a thorough evaluation of educational qualifications and supporting portfolios.

Shortlisted students will be required to provide medical fitness certificates and certified Russian translations of their academic documents. For further information and queries, students can contact the Russian House in Pakistan directly via email.

This scholarship program represents a growing partnership in the education sector between Moscow and Islamabad, providing a valuable opportunity for Pakistani students to access high-quality education in Russia.
