Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho shared his admiration for French striker Kylian Mbappe, emphasizing that Mbappe has the potential to win the Ballon d’Or with any team. However, Ronaldinho, a fervent Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) supporter, expressed his preference for Mbappe to achieve this feat with the French club.
The 2002 World Champion Ronaldinho spoke highly of Mbappe, noting his strong playing style and personal friendship. Although Mbappe has yet to secure the prestigious Ballon d’Or, finishing third this year, Ronaldinho believes winning major competitions with PSG could significantly bolster his chances. Reflecting on his time at PSG, where he played from 2001 to 2003, Ronaldinho emphasized the club’s stature in football.
Mbappe’s Future and Potential
Looking ahead to 2024, Mbappe faces a busy and potentially pivotal year. The 24-year-old star might lead PSG in the Champions League and represent France in Euro 2024. Ronaldinho, who played under Paris coach Luis Enrique at Barcelona, praised Enrique’s coaching abilities and expressed optimism about PSG’s chances in the Champions League, citing the team’s skilled coach and players.
However, uncertainty surrounds Mbappe’s future with PSG, as his current contract may lead to his departure in June. Real Madrid has shown persistent interest in Mbappe, positioning itself as a strong contender for his potential move.
