Roma Riaz has been named national director of Miss Universe Pakistan, taking on a leadership role after representing the country on the global pageant stage.
Riaz announced the appointment on Instagram on Thursday. She said she felt “incredibly humbled, grateful and honoured” to take on the role.
She said the position would allow her to help shape the journeys of women who will represent Pakistan internationally.
Riaz also thanked Miss Universe franchise owner Josh Yugen for placing his trust in her and giving her another role within the organisation.

Meanwhile, Misbah Arshad was crowned the new Miss Universe Pakistan during the announcement in the Philippines.
Arshad will become the fourth woman to represent Pakistan at Miss Universe. She is expected to travel to Puerto Rico later this year for the 75th Miss Universe pageant.
Earlier, Riaz told Images that representing Pakistan internationally had been the biggest honour and responsibility of her life.
