Singer and entrepreneur Rihanna joined Barbados’ Grand Kadooment parade on August 3, returning to Crop Over in a custom costume by Barbadian designer Lauren Austin.
The Rihanna Crop Over 2026 appearance featured a teal, jewel-covered ensemble with multicoloured details, gold tassels and a large feathered structure. She initially wore an ornate headpiece, then switched to a lighter one during the parade.
Rihanna joined Aura, the festival band led by her brother Rorrey Fenty, and greeted spectators while travelling along the parade route. The appearance marked her first participation in Grand Kadooment since 2024.

Grand Kadooment Day took place on Monday, August 3, as the finale of the 2026 Crop Over Festival. Masquerade bands travelled through Bridgetown before ending near Kensington Oval on the Mighty Grynner Highway.

Crop Over developed from celebrations marking the end of Barbados’ sugar cane harvest. The modern festival includes music, food, arts events and costumed parades across several weeks.
