Differences have emerged within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) legal team, as Barrister Gohar has announced plans to file a new petition on behalf of the party’s founder.

According to details provided, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar revealed the intent to file a petition concerning the prison conditions of Imran Khan. This announcement follows the submission of a petition by Advocate Faisal Chaudhry at the Islamabad High Court earlier today.

Barrister Gohar explained that Faisal Chaudhry’s petition was based on an outdated power of attorney and was not sanctioned by the legal committee’s current directives.

A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court for Khan Sab today. This was filed using an old Attorney, not on our or legal committee directions. Since the matter relates to Khan sab facilities and health issues, another petition would also be filed on Monday and both…

Additionally, Barrister Gohar mentioned that a new request regarding prison facilities will be submitted to the Islamabad High Court on Monday. The legal committee’s designated lawyers are set to present arguments for both petitions.

Responding to Barrister Gohar’s announcement, Faisal Chaudhry expressed his support on Twitter, saying, “Dear Gohar Khan, I have been with Mr. Khan since 2015. I understand your pressure, and I am with you.”

He also noted that today’s petition was filed according to Barrister Gohar’s instructions, which included indications from Mr. Khan’s family. Although delayed, Chaudhry commended the legal team’s readiness to address the issues.
