Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Rehmat Card Punjab programme. This programme will provide Rs 100,000 in financial assistance to eligible widows and orphans.
The Punjab government has allocated Rs 5,000 million from provincial Zakat funds for the programme.
According to the programme rules, only applicants eligible for Zakat under Shariah law will qualify for the Rehmat Card.
Widows who are government employees, pensioners or who meet the Nisab wealth threshold for Zakat will not be eligible.
Eligible individuals can apply through the dedicated mobile app, while further information is available through the helpline at 1077.
Deserving candidates will be identified from the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry database. Moreover, the final list will be prepared under district quotas.

If an applicant’s data is not available in the PSER database, their status will be verified through the National Database and Registration Authority.
Financial assistance under the CM Punjab Rehmat Card will be disbursed through JazzCash wallet accounts.
