Chairman Senate and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mian Raza Rabbani on Friday asked the government to take both houses of the Parliament into confidence on the proposed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

During the question hour session, Raza Rabbani asked the Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid that it would be better for the government that the Prime Minister give a statement on CPEC in the Parliament as both the houses were in session.

“It will be better for democracy and the government should take all decisions in the Parliament,” Raza Rabbani remarked.

Senator Pervaiz Rashid while agreeing with the chair, said that the Prime Minister has convened a meeting on CPEC in which Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also participating.

The minister said that he would convey the message to the Premier.
