RAWALPINDI, Punjab: Rawalpindi police suspensions followed a citizen’s complaint that a sub-inspector had implicated him in a fabricated drug case.
City Police Officer Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera took action during an open kachehri in Kathana, Kahuta. He suspended Sub-Inspector Abdul Qayoom over the complaint.
The police chief also suspended Kahuta Station House Officer Nadeem Altaf for poor performance. Sukhera said the force would show zero tolerance for abuse of authority. He also warned that officers with poor performance would not retain their positions.
