Lahore: Punjab government has decided to offer permanent employment to all contract teachers of the province within a week.
Services of more than 50,000 contract teachers will be regularized under a decision taken by the Punjab government.
The move comes taken following successful negotiations between the provincial government and representatives bodies of teachers.
In addition, the government has also decided not to undertake disciplinary action against several teachers.
