The Punjab government has significantly raised the bounty for capturing notorious dacoits in the Kacha area from 1 million to 10 million rupees.
The Home Department has publicized the names and photographs of 20 dangerous criminals. The list includes Shahid, Kamal’s son, Mujeeb, Amanullah’s son, and Ghani, Ali Bux’s son.
The Home Department assures the confidentiality of informants who can reach out via a dedicated WhatsApp number to encourage public cooperation. This initiative follows directives from Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who has emphasized the urgency of addressing the threat posed by these criminals.
Recently, Punjab police successfully neutralized Bashir Shar, a notorious dacoit, and apprehended his gang members during a targeted operation in Rahim Yar Khan’s Kacha area. This police action resulted in injuries to several gang members and was commended by the Chief Minister, who reiterated her commitment to eradicating criminal elements from the region.
In addition, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed his condolences for the martyrdom of police officers during the operation. He honoured the bravery of the fallen officers and offered his sympathies to their families, underscoring the nation’s gratitude for their sacrifice in the line of duty.
