The Pakistan Railways (PR) has refused to provide a special train to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for its upcoming long march in Islamabad.

According to sources, the decision was taken due to security threats and other railway issues.

The PTI had submitted an application to the DS Railway (Karachi) to run a special train for its workers who would like to participate in the long march scheduled on August 14. The application was forwarded to the railway headquarters (Lahore) where a high-level meeting decided to reject PTI’s request.

The party requested the reservation of 14 bogies that were supposed to take the participants from Karachi to Rawalpindi.
